I write about English football and Indian Cricket.

Welcome back. Today I’ll be talking about Ben Stokes — who I believe is the best all-rounder England has ever produced! I’m going to list the reasons why I feel he’s well on his way to being THE greatest all-rounder the world of cricket has ever seen…

When the pressure is truly on, Ben Stokes is the man you can rely on. The 2019 Cricket World Cup final still gives me goosebumps! Stokes’ role in victory is something that’ll be admired for a long time - scoring an unbeaten 84 and then being instrumental in the dramatic super over. He…

Today’s story is about another Newcastle hero. I’ve now covered Alan Shearer, David Ginola and Les Ferdinand already, so inkeeping with the NUFC Nostalgia series- today I’m writing about Rob Lee. He spent ten glorious years on Tyneside and gave us Newcastle fans alot of memories to cherish from his 303 appearances. Here are three reasons why Rob Lee is a true toon legend…

Rob Lee may be a Londoner but he does have Geordie roots so it’s no surprise that his move to Tyneside from Charlton Athletic in 1992 was a special one. Rob Lee’s childhood footballing hero Kevin…

Today’s story is about a very special Indian cricketer. He was awarded the Rajiv Khel Ratna Award last summer (India’s highest sporting honour). The prestigious award came as no surprise… 2019 was a defining one for his career- five centuries in the World Cup is just one achievement. Of course, I’m talking about Rohit Sharma!

Rohit Sharma is a 33 year old International cricketer who is the vice-captain of the Indian national team in limited-overs formats. He is the only cricketer in the history of cricket to score more than one ODI double centuries.

In January 2020, Sharma was named…

The David Ginola article went down really well and it felt natural to write my next story on Les Ferdinand. As a Newcastle United fan I regard Sir Les as a truly memorable player during the Kevin Keegan era at the Toon. It’s hard to believe he only spent two years on Tyneside considering the impact he made. He really did have a special connection with us Newcastle fans with his commitment and love for the club. For those of you who don’t know, Les Ferdinand is a British footballer from London who earned 17 caps for England and is…

Today I’m talking about the great Mahendra Singh Dhoni, commonly known as MS Dhoni or affectionately known as Thala Dhoni by thousands of adoring fans. For those of you who don’t know, MS Dhoni is a 39year old Indian cricket legend. He captained the Indian national team in limited-overs formats from 2007 to 2016 and in Test cricket from 2008 to 2014. He’s known as one of the best wicket-keepers in modern limited-overs international cricket. Last summer, the cricket world were stunned with the news of Dhoni’s retirement from international cricket. …

For those of you who don’t know- David Ginola is a former French International football player of absolute world class! During the nineties Ginola’s heroics in the premier league captured the hearts of many! As a young Newcastle fan back in the mid nineties, it was a special time for me to appreciate Ginola’s instrumental role in The Entertainers under Kevin Keegan’s management. He went on to play for Tottenham, Aston Villa and Everton before retiring in 2002. So let’s re-live five of the best David Ginola memories that made him a football hero!

He made his India debut against Pakistan in Karachi in 1989. He scored 15 runs in his debut Test, which eventually ended in a draw. In the subsequent match in Faisalabad, young Sachin scored his first international…

Like many other Newcastle United fans, Alan Shearer plays a huge part in my love for the club. This love affair started in 1995 and Shearer’s role in that defining era at the club has a special place in my Magpie heart. I wanted to write an article dedicated to his journey as a footballer and talk about why he’s widely regarded as England’s greatest number 9. I’m going to outline his career timeline; the good, the bad, the ugly! Before I start - make sure you follow me for more football content, thank you for reading. …

Today I’m going to talk cricket. A couple of weeks ago, Team India went on to end Australia’s 32-year unbeaten streak at the Gabba… it was a sensational win for many reasons! Thanks. Let’s get into it.
